Friday evening saw an intimate gathering for Ram Nagaraj's performance at Jus' Trufs with members of the audience getting a chance to sing along with the maestro.
Its not everyday that a superstar would invite a member of the audience to sing along during a live performance and Nagaraj did exactly that. Between songs, the smiling ustad invited as many as half-a-dozen delighted members of the audience to take the mike as his musicians and the singer himself supported them with the score.
It was the first time many, such as Jayashree, had taken stage anywhere. Anand too had his share of spotlight at this north Bangalore event. As the audience asked for more, the evening gathered pace with the master reliving music from the 1930's.
