When you enter north Bangalore, Shut up!
This is the message from north Bangalore residents fed up with monster buses terrorising
vehicle owners with their shrill air horns on KIA road.
These private buses that ply to nearby towns not only weave their way by driving rashly but also scare other road users with their shrill horns which are not permitted within the city.
They use it to bully their way in especially at known bottlenecks such as the mouth of the Hebbal flyover, at the two loop intersections on this flyover, near HMT Bhavan, Mekhri circle underpass, BDA magic box, up Windsor Manor bridge and on the other side near the Cauvery theatre magic box, Sanjay Nagar cross, Hebbal bus stop, Esteem mall signal and on the approach to Kodigehalli signal.
"These ear-splitting horns are completely being ignored by traffic police and RTO. They are not permitted for use inside the city limits and the authorities should ensure they are banned,’’ says a resident.
These bus drivers say the horns are meant for highways but use them anyways within the city too which is the only way to keep moving.
