Mission BBQ on a Bullet

India’s favourite two-wheeler is on a different mission.

This Enfield 350 cc motorcycle is on Mission BBQ! The bike has been modified with extended arms and turns into a barbeque stand where mouth-watering chicken dishes are charcoal grilled.

Parked in Coffee Board layout, along the Hebbal-Kempapura area’s famous food street, Mission BBQ is young entrepreneur Arun Varma’s baby.

Arun, still a college student, already runs a food truck business in the evenings and added a bike to his repertoire of culinary specials by turning the motorcycle into a barbeque hotspot.

“The idea was mine and the bike was modified at my brother-in-law’s fabrication unit,” he says modestly.

The military green bullet is in a working condition and his two assistants ride on it to the parking location. Once the bike is parked, it draws surprised onlookers as the cook starts to extend and assemble the barbeque which is opened with a flourish. The words “Keep calm and grill on” is written on it. He then opens the side box marked Chef’s Weapons and starts to sort out his accessories. Another assistant fills the BBQ with charcoal. Once it lights up, they put up a board offering Chicken wings, strips and leg pieces.

 “It’s a great draw,” adds Arun as an aroma fills up the street and quickly draws in a crowd of the curious and the hungry.

This is India’s first BBQ bike and you can find it parked at the Coffee Board layout food street.
