Cook, enjoy and make kids smile

Sign up to learn 3 signature recipes at Howard Johnson Hebbal on Feb 4
Slice and Dice with Chef Chakradhar

Learn how to convert plain recipes into yum food and drink with a qualified Chef at Howard Johnson Hebbal doting around you. The fun cook-out is also for those who believe in giving back to society.

Howard Johnson Hebbal is organising the event on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in association with Child Relief and You (CRY), a leading NGO.

“Our hotel has been associated with CRY for two years now and our motto at Howard Johnson Bangalore is to strongly believe in giving it back to society,” says Anshul Goswami, Director, Sales and Marketing.

That’s the philosophy of the founder who has created an enviable international brand that counts Bangalore as one of its star properties.

Head Chef Chakradhar will be teaching bon vivants three recipes - Millet Chakkra Pongal, Roasted Broccoli & Mushroom Carbonara and Guava Lassi.

“Many dishes can be made from superfood millets which is the current trend. Sweet pongal is generally made of rice, moong dal and jaggery. Now, lets try it with millet too. Roasted Brocolli and Mushroom are a magical combination and rare. Guava Lassi is rarer still and people are surprised that lassi can have the guava fruit flavour,” says Chakradhar.

Asked whether normal or red guavas are used, the Chef preferred to unravel his secret at the class on Sunday. So we decided to reserve our question if mushroom was an aphrodisiac for that day too.

Participants learning the three signature dishes will be charged a nominal fee of Rs 450 per person with the proceeds going to CRY, says Anshul.

CRY is a top NGO in India working towards the upliftment of underprivileged children that supports child welfare projects and restoring children’s basic rights.
