Euro school teachers equip themselves to handle emergencies

Aster CMI Hospital, Hebbal, held a Basic Life Support demonstration for teachers of Euro School, Jakkur.

Teachers had a hands-on experience of how to deal with children who are prone to sudden events. As many as 50 teachers and staff members attended the event held recently, which was a first for them.

Principal of Euro School, Shanthi Rao said “Your guidance to identify and react to any situations be it a small injury or a major accident was very informative. Especially, the CPR and the chocking demonstrations  were very informative. As primary carers during school time, we hold big responsibilities during emergencies and your sincere guidance techniques were very impressive”, she said.

The teachers asked questions based on their experiences in dealing with children.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our doctors to interact with teachers from Euro School. While we taught them Basic Life Support techniques, it was an experience to learn about children from their perspective, the Aster team, led by Dr Arvind said.
